I decided not to transmit on the radio spectrum until I have better equipment. I am 100% not making contacts nor am I active on the airwaves. If you hear someone making contact with my callsign, they are not KI4KAO. They are impersonating illegally. News of me transmitting will be posted here on the official website.

Radio art. And everything involved with antenna’s to frequencies, hardware to engineering, Amateur radio is a privilege that has many use cases. Just like technology, amateur radio evolves everyday. Not to be mixed up with Citizens Band or General Family Radio Service where anyone can use the frequencies, Amateur radio is a licensed lost art.
How long have you been a ham operator?
Not long. I started April of 2024, got technicians license in May and general class along with gmrs in the same month.
I am interested in being a ham radio operator, where do I begin?
My mistake which caused a delay in studying is reading books like ham radio for dummies. These are good books and there is alot of resources such as Youtube available but quickly getting your feet wet, https://hamradioprep.com/ and https://hamstudy.org/ both provide great guides and practice tests.
Are you in a radio club?
The most common question in the radio universe. I do not belong to no club. I do not have an Elmer as my busy lifestyle would permit very little time and interaction. This might change in the future. I also not actively on the radio waves but I do actively carry and sometimes transmit.
